My name is Erik Champion, and I'm the Director of International Touring Operations for Feld Entertainment. I bring over 20 years of professional experience in entertainment, spanning design, international touring, production management, and logistics.
Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theater Design and Technology from The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Early in my career, I created more than 40 professional sound designs for regional theaters in Pennsylvania, earning a 2013 nomination for Best Sound Design in Central Pennsylvania for The 39 Steps.
Later that year, I joined my first national tour with Prather Entertainment Group's Fiddler on the Roof. Shortly after, I began touring with Disney on Ice as an Audio Engineer, traveling throughout North America, South America, Asia, and Australia perfecting my skills as an Arena Audio Engineer. In 2017, I stepped into a leadership roles as a Production Manager for Disney on Ice presents Frozen, overseeing 17 crew members and managing all technical operations for the production.
When the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered the live entertainment industry, Feld Entertainment led the global retun to touring in September of 2020. I was honored to be the first Production Manager rehired, helping pioneer protocols and reimagine live entertainment operations in an uncertain world. Following the success of that tour, I was promoted to Tour Manager and reopened our first post-pandemic international tour in Europe in 2021. Once again, the challenges were unprecedented as I navigated a 65 person team through a patchwork of evolving restrictions, labor shortages, and shipping delays on a tour through Europe.
In 2022 I advanced through two more roles: first as Technical Operations Manager overseeing all Ice, Stage, and Floor productions worldwide, and then into my current position as Director of International Touring Operations. I'm proud to support our productions and the incredible teams that bring them to life for audiences around the globe.

Outside of work, I'm passionate about adventure-hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, and exploring new cultures. Feld Entertainment has taken me around the world, and along the way, I've met some of the most incredible people who have impacted me in profound ways-changing the course of my life both professionally and personally.
